The editorial and publishing center is a structural unit that provides the university with scientific and educational publications, as well as printed materials for economic needs. The first printing house was established in 1977. Before its appearance, the university had at its disposal a primitive manual copying machinery. When the equipment was commissioned, the printing house was equipped with two types of duplicating machines – "Era" and "Rotaprint". The output of printed matter published at that time was small. But it was enough to meet the current production and educational needs of the agricultural university.
In 1991, with the creation of the editorial and publishing department, the requirements for the types and volume of printed products increased. Along with educational and methodical literature, applications for the publication of textbooks and monographs appeared. It was this circumstance that dictated the prospect of expanding the printing base of the university and the creation by order of the rector N.V. Tsuglenok in 1995 of the information and publishing center. The formation of the new service was entrusted to its technical director Leonid Mikhailovich Zhibinov, whose life from the student's bench was connected with the university. The talent of a person and a leader allowed him to successfully solve all the problems of the new team formation. Krasnoyarsk State Agrarian University is the founder of two scientific journals included in the list of peer-reviewed journals in which the fundamental scientific results of dissertations for the degree of doctor and candidate of sciences should be published. "Bulletin of KSAU" - founded in 1996 is one of the leading journals in the field of agricultural sciences, whose performance is only growing every year. "Socio-economic and humanitarian journal" - the main direction of the journal - coverage of the results of research in the field of social and human sciences, various points of view on global and private economic, social, cultural problems, analysis of future prospects.
In 2020, the publishing house released 210 titles of printed publications, including 8 monographs, 52 study guides, 20 titles of conference proceedings collections, 111 guidelines; bound 2321 copies of books, 618 folders.
